We were doing our "normal thing", snoozing Inoculate It for 1 minute, to run Windows Update.
Surprise!
After running "like a fine-tuned German machine" for about 6 months now, "hiccup".
We received the following MSFT error message:
"Windows Update Error
Windows Update has encountered an error. Please try the following:
Install the latest version of the Microsoft XML Parser from the Microsoft Download Center:
In the Worldwide Downloads list, select the appropriate language for your computer and then click Go.
In the Keywords box, type Microsoft XML Parser (MSXML) 3.0 Service Pack and then click Go.
In the list of available downloads, click Microsoft XML Parser (MSXML) 3.0 Service Pack 4 (SP4).
Follow the instructions on your screen.
After the installation, try the Windows Update site again."
So, being the obedient Gates' Soldiers that we are, we clicked on the link, to the "Microsoft Download Center".
Only to find, not one of the 96-or-so downloads is the "Microsoft Parser".
Oh well, thank goodness for Inoculate It. No rebuilds, or embarassment, for us, in more than 2 years.
