A.R.M.O.R. FIX
Network security incidents have reached epidemic proportions worldwide. With the number of reported incidents increasing daily, IT managers and security experts struggle to respond effectively.
Existing approaches to network vulnerability assessment and remediation simply aren’t working. Yet the majority of attacks can be prevented by quickly applying security patches as soon as they become available. In fact, a Gartner Group study estimates that 90% of network attacks through 2005 will exploit security holes for which patches have already been issued. The fastest, most cost effective solution is automated patch management with Netforcement’s FIX Management service (part of our A.R.M.O.R. solutions).
FIX identifies the desktops, roaming laptops and servers that require security patches across your enterprise in real-time with minimal network impact. Netforcement will fully patch the identified systems for the base OS, service packs, hotfixes and Microsoft Office Suite.
More than Patch Management
Our experience is that patches are just part of the vulnerabilities that exist at the desktop. FIX has these additional features.
- AntiPest (powered by PestPatrol) remove those pesky and processor-sucking adware, spyware, and Malware pests
- Client Manager for antivirus ensure that each system runs the latest version of Anti-Virus including signature versions – restarts engines that users have stopped!
- Inventory and Asset tracking See what systems configurations are on your network, and detailed asset information. Most organizations only require modest asset tracking, and spend more on this single solution that all of the Netforcement FIX solution.
- Software License & Usage tracking Ensure users are using only authorized applications, and save money by licensing only the correct number of seats.
- Remote HelpDesk remotely push out updates, or control workstations directly for complicated security changes.
How It Works
Under our FIX solution, we deploy software "agents" onto your network (server and workstations) which regularly report on the health of your network to our SOC (Secure Operations Center). Utilizing these agents, we regularly apply operating system patches and security fixes, as well as monitor for anti-virus performance and provide anti-malware protection.
Reporting
Regular reporting is critical to enable management to effectively make decisions regarding IT infrastructure and security posture. Netforcement will issue the following monthly reports to your staff to assist in informed decision-making:
- Server & Workstation patch history.
- Server & Workstation software inventory.
- Helpdesk Support Ticket detail.
Supported Systems
FIX supports all Windows operating systems from Windows 95 and up, as well as Solaris, Linux, HP-UX, AIX and others without additional software, hardware or training.
